Dots Events: It's been a few of months since you last came to Romania with your friend Hector Moralez during the Uprock 3000 Tour ...so tell us what have you been doing since then?

Phil Weeks: I’ve been working a lot, doing the DJ almost every weekend, taking care of the label…the classical stuff. But also, I started to work on a new album that is now finished.

DE :The Fries & Bridges duo was a great success as we all heard this year. What is the next step you planned with Hector? Any new releases?

PW: Hector is coming to live in France in February, just close to my house. So we plan on working a lot together .We didn’t get a chance to go together in the studio since the Uprock 3000 tour, in last April. All our tracks have been released already…until the next episode.

 DE: But let's talk more about you...we know you have a new EP that just came out, and you're working on a new album. Tell us more about it.

PW: The last record that came out « All Day Every Day » is the first single of my forthcoming album.
The album is now ready, just need to do some photo shoot for the artwork. “Love Affair” LP.
My last album was released in 2003 and I started to think about doing a new one since I started working with the MPC. My way of doing music changed, and I got really excited about producing, more than ever. So, it seemed natural to do a full lengh album.
“Love Affair” will be released at the end of February

DE: And what about your “baby”: Robsoul label? How is it been going this year with the releases?

PW: Robsoul has been really active this year. Releasing everything in vinyl and digital. Basically, I have around 2 records out every month.(Robsoul/Robsoul LTD). This year so far, we did 3 samplers (Robsoul LTD) and

DE: What's the next release that will come out on Robsoul?

PW: By next week will be released an EP from Anhanguera on Robsoul LTD. In January, an EP from Chris Simmonds and an EP from Kreon. In February, another Robsoul sampler (Dmitri Max, Tommy Largo & Trevor Vichas, Mirco Violi & Sercan & Jordan Peak) then my Album (Double Pack).

DE: Everyone says Romania is becoming huge with its producers. What do you think? Any Romanian artist that comes in your mind and you like?

PW: A lot of new talented producers are coming from Romania but if I have to pick up one I would say TBF (Tibi Fratila) from Mango Booking . His album just came out on Minority (vinyl only) and I have to say that every beats have been straight fire.

DE: And last question...did you miss us? (unofficial question :) )

PW : Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!! Gonna be fun !!!
