▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Pete Herbert starts his musical quest some 15 years ago, in London, working for the notorious record shop Daddy Kools and then running his own, Atlas Recordings. Soon, he makes his way into djing and onto the decks of some of the most reputed clubs in London. His reputation as a top producer really takes off following his work on Eskimo Recordings, where he starts the Reverso 68 project along with the balearic timelord himself Phil Mison.

Alongside Barcelona’s finest DJ and club terrorist Baby G, Pete starts another project, called LSB. The hits done for Eskimo, plus two albums of re-edits on their own label Superdiscoteca and a string of peaktime dancefloor remixes for the likes of Ilija Rudman or Low Motion Disco have seen the LSB sound rise to the fore in recent times.

On his own, the londoner starts Maxi Discs label, which holds the first original music to be released under his own name and inspired much more by his love for early house than his previous output. The records released here, such as Yo Drums, are heavily influenced by the musical direction of his DJ sets, by the desire to really work the dance floor and and by a certain nostalgia for the house sounds of the 90s, when the site of white doves could make a grown man cry. Yo Drums was in fact born after a long night he spent driving the crowd wild, then returned home switching on the laptop and the synths and trying to recapture the essence of the whole gig in a track. Just like his DJ sets, Yo Drums mixes elements of house, Italo and disco into a heady potion of dance floor dynamite.

When not in the studio Pete can be found regularly behind the decks at places such as Fabric in his native London and other forward thinking clubs around Europe such as Mondos and Goa in Madrid or Cafe Capitol in Belguim. Beyond that, he‘s recently and regularly done stints djing in Australia, Indonesia, Brazil, India, Russia, Lithuania, Paris, Ibiza or Tel Aviv.

Expect an unexpected mix of balearic leftfield disco with house, italo, dub and funk twists!
